The Squadron at Dusk

Bit of a lazy shot from the window (you can see a reflection of the Christmas lights, bah!). But at least there's an interesting cloud formation.

The local pigeons think that our building is a cliff face, and they do their best to live here. And we do our best to stop them. Anyway, we get ample opportunity to observe pigeon behaviour, and one of the things that they like to do is take to the air in acrobatic flocks, and circle the building a few times. We nickname them "The Squadron". I presume that this is a defence routine - there are certainly plenty of hawks about - but it always looks a bit like they are doing it for fun.
