Since Peggy Sue has found herself to be the only cat in the house,  she has become increasingly friendly and tolerant.  She still has a way to go before she becomes as good an MM model as our  kitties that are now gone, but today she did make an effort  no doubt encouraged by a large quantity of Dreamies and I am quite pleased withe result!  I'm not so pleased withe return of The Cold, bigger and badder this time but put into perspective, hardly the end of the world.
