Wrybill

Headed up to the headwaters of the Rangitata River to photograph the Wrybill chicks that are now hatching, little furball's that are able to run very quickly, They don't stop moving so you have to have to keep on the move to get the images you want.  The one shown is an adult. 511 images were taken, now thinned to 165, this will be thinned further as I will only keep the really sharp ones. The weather was lovely up there although a bit cool to start and a bit of low cloud, when the sun warmed up the clouds burned off and bright blue skies prevailed.
