Our First Snowfall

Dear Diary,

We got a wintery mix overnight and my world, this morning, is covered in a scant inch of white stuff.  I was expecting more but happy to find no shoveling is needed.  Louisa May is continuing to eat a bit more with each offering which is a wonderful sign and she stuck her sweet pink nose into my dish of ice cream last night so I gave her a tiny taste of the vanilla.  It was such a joy to see her lap it up so enthusiastically!  When I didn't offer her any more, she looked right at me and voiced her displeasure quite loudly.  I think my little miss is going to be a "talker"!
