Teeny, tiny, newly hatched little lettuce seedlings! I was headed to the garden between showers to look for some new growth when I spotted these in the porch...so thankfully I had no need to go outdoors, it’s been a cold, wet, dank and miserable day!

Decided to do some gluten free baking as we had some buttermilk to use up...a batch of scones which are the first gluten free ones I’ve ever not needed a spoon to eat them! Then an orange and polenta cake went into the oven as I sat down to scones with jam and cream for lunch...next time I’ll make cheese ones I think. Left hubby using up the rest of the buttermilk on glutenous goodies!
