By the River Brathay between Elterwater and Skelwith Bridge. 

There was a dark cloud over Ambleside all day. I could see the edge and hoped the better weather would move north. It didn't. 

About 2.15 I decided it was too late to try and find the sunshine so drove along to Skelwith for a walk. On the way home I could see the sun glinting in the car mirror.
