Pottsville Moon
After a very windy and hot day we went up to the point so the boy could swim and P and I went off searching for flip flops...his had turned up their toes and we couldn't have his tender Scottish feet on the hot and rough ground.
It was gorgeous up on the hill @ Hastings all be it ..still blowing a hoolie.......the wind had blown some of the smoke away and there were some lovely wispy clouds in the sky however the sun was still the red ball.
We weren't going to see the moon rise with the bank of smoke on the horizon so we headed off to hunt down some dinner.
We saw her whilst we were waiting at the chippie for our Karage chicken and chips to make burgers at home. It was hard getting anything decent without a tripod....one can see why this time is called the blue hour ;-)))
A lot of my friends are still evacuated...the wind changed course giving a slight reprieve for the time being but they are not out of the woods yet....none of us are really....fire could and does pop up anywhere.
On another note Jaiya popped into out house yesterday to see how things were going...it wasn't..... so a call to the builder was in order..who reassures us that som type of florring be be down by the end of the week even if it it just the particle board....jeez!
Thanks so much for the hearts n stars on the horizon yesterday too.
