Torn Down But Not Forgotten
I really don't know what was torn down to make such a pile, maybe a small shed. If I wasn't afraid of getting ginormous splinters, I would have thrown some pieces into my trunk. I could use something like this when it's time to toss covers over my more tender plants when the temps freeze overnight...which will come faster than I would hope. I have three plants for which I need rebar or wood stakes to hold cloth up so they won't get smushed.
This is being back blipped a day so I can report that I attended the Singles meeting and got there way early because now I am officially the bagel picker-upper at Safeway each week. The planning meeting for December followed it and I added a couple of activities for the month: 2 miniature golf outings and a trip to the Reid Park Zoo to see the zoo lights. I had some time to spare since it was a holiday and my therapist took the day off so I stopped at the Community Performing Arts Center (CPAC) and purchased tickets for a tribute to the music of Carole King/Tapestry (which I firmly believe was the greatest album of all time - so there Beatles fans!) That's coming in January and was almost sold out.
Kicked around the rest of the day. Did some laundry. Made a pot of chili. That was yummy. Haven't heard from the library yet about accepting my volunteer application. And the best thing of all is that two weeks from today I will be spending a couple of nights in Madera Canyon, cooking over a fire and communing with nature. It can't get better than that.
