Golden morning sunshine...

streams in through the 'east wing' windows and the glorious glow makes it easy to forget that the sun is barely warming yet. But the days - especially bright sunny ones - are noticeably lengthening. Tiday I saw daffodils in bloom in a garden and my violets are out - but more of those another day.

The sunshine quickly gave way to cold rain and wind and it wasn't a day to be out and about. Errands done, DH lit the log burner and got stuck into some painting whilst I got busy adjusting hems on the dining room curtains and making some cosy fleece pads for the guineas pig's 'tents' in preparation for the cold snap.

All we need now is an Indian takeaway - but none in the area so its me in the kitchen tonight!
