Terminal Frost

Well the weather forecast was very accurate today the mercury plummeted and the frost and fog stayed with us most of the day. I went for a walk across the fields in front of the house and looked down the little valley with the low cloud and fog drifting across the fields. There is no mains gas where we live so the majority of houses still have coal fires and today all the chimneys were belching out smoke helping to keep the occupants warm.
