Unexpected trip
Admin. in the morning and our last acrylics' class in the afternoon, followed by a meal at Carlo's and a weekly supermarket shop.
A good day! Until late evening, that is, when the strange little niggling discomfort in my chest I'd been experiencing on and off for a few days became something more. Not bad enough to call 999, I thought, and phoned 111 for advice. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I was strongly advised to get to A&E in Cramlington within an hour - just about do-able without breaking the speed limit! Once there, it was triage, a consultation with a 'senior nurse practitioner', blood taken, chest X-ray done - then wait for the blood test results, around 2 hours, and another consultation.
11.50pm in A&E with no Blip. So today you have a photo of the sculpture on the stairwell, of which I know nothing. Then we waited and people watched! An interesting stream of people going in and out of the department, some of whom would have made for a much better Blip, but it was hardly appropriate to approach anyone for a quick snap!
