Christmas is Here

Christmas is here in Aberdeen. Fir trees are appearing out of nowhere, some more realistic than others. Images of Father Christmas can be found lurking in many of the shops. Perhaps most significant, the Aberdeen leopard is once again precariously perched on top of a fir tree in the office complex next to the Bon Accord Centre.

Last week I was in Venice. Some of the images of the flooding that occurred yesterday and overnight make the Acqua Alta we experienced on Friday seem like nothing.
