One of the most bizarre things about this island and its microclimate, is the fact that every day starts off with completely clear blue skies, but in the afternoon, it is almost always cloudy and rainy - especially in Saint-Denis. 

This photo doesn't do the storm justice as it completely hid the mountains and almost looked apocalyptic! Thankfully, it just missed us on campus and disappeared before it got dark. I'm not holding out too much hope for the weather for the rest of the week as the forecast is horrendous - Hot, humid and wet.
