Draycote Water
After yet another blood test we drove to Draycote Water, the reservoir near Rugby in Warwickshire. It is somewhere we've not visited before and were impressed with the visitor centre, containing the restaurant with a great view over the water, and the reservoir itself which was very large and scenic.
There is a five mile path completing a circuit of the lake; we did take a walk, but nothing like that far. This was after a spot of lunch at their restaurant.
There was a lot of activity on the water, yachts, fishing boats and of course wildlife birds. The place was quite busy and obviously a popular destination.
I took lots of photos, there wasn't any exoctic birds, not that I saw, though there were plenty of moorhen and ducks, some cormorants and a couple of swans.
