Bird Spotting at Les Grangettes
After yesterday's snowy epic, a gentler morning was called for so joining a bird spotting group at the lake fitted the bill - excuse the pun.
The sun came up on the reed beds and trees along the edge of the Lake. The birds were on display: the Cormarants, heron and many types of gull were on the breakwater near Queen Victoria's tree. However it was very difficult to hear, and remember, the French names of birds, and I have failed to do so! HELP NEEDED therefore, to identify the three types of duck I have dropped into blipfolio:
Duck 1. Chocolate brown - 'Ferruginous duck, thank you Tigger.
Duck 2. Black and white males, brown coloured females - Tufted Ducks (thanks Chamaeleo) in the background, but on the rock is duck 3 this beauty, in close up - Goosander - thanks gladders.
Try large here. You will get a surprise - this I replaced but it insists on being here!!
Thank you and hope you are having a great weekend.
