Life beyond the New Town

Up the town to meet GC and discuss the finances. Can I afford an old new car? More to the point, can the SK? To ease our deliberations he treats us to an eat in Indigo Yard - with starters and everything! It must be a maybe.
Then onward to meet JH at the Stockbridge Tap - it’s been an age since we had a good chat. Top topic was the destruction of MA’s gorgeous and irreplaceable wooden Honeybee (same as JH’s) in the yard which he took a chainsaw to after making a half arsed attempt to sell, to avoid the storage fees. Later, a rarity: I decided to drop into the FCYC committee to hear the shortlist for the upcoming Christmas prize-giving. Missed out again. A new award is perhaps needed - chainsaw operator of the year.
