The Mouth of the Genesee

Looking under the O'Rouke bridge down the Rochester and Lake Ontario RR to the old CHARLOTTE station. The Rochester Port buildings are in the distance. The swing bridge in the middle of the river is from the Rome,Ogdensburg and Watertown Railway, the Hojack line, and is disused and left open; the tracks are partially gone to the east but eventually become the Ontario Midland Railrosd. To the west the tracks served the now mothballed Russel Station power plant and are used for car storage and probably will be removed soon.
