Rain rain go away

Heard the rain overnight, couldn't believe what it looked like AGAIN this morning ! At what point do we start building the ark ? Our village was cut off for a short time this morning and Hubby answered a call of help from the village to go and try to redivert a brook that had turned into a raging river and was endangering properties. The main road at the end of our garden was awash and water was pouring into the field opposite. We thought about going out today but returned home five minutes later after driving through fast flowing water at the end of our lane. So battened down the hatches and watched the rain from the warmth of home !
