Morning train from Paris
We had a fairly early start to get the train to Lausanne. Pleasant and comfortable ride through increasingly attractive countryside via Dijon.
We changed in Lausanne (which is not a busy station given this is the fourth biggest city in Switzerland but has glimpses of high snowy mountains in the distance) onto a small local train, which wound its way through a few Swiss valleys to Murten/Morat, where we were collected by taxi and taken to the hotel, which is basically a converted castle. Well beyond the backend of beyond. But lovely.
The food is fabulous. Enjoyed a great evening meal before collapsing early into bed. The wifi in our room is basically insufficient to allow blipping - hence backblipping from one of the public areas on Thursday morning.
