A fascinating place.

Arnie and I have been here before and thought it might be a good spot for “The man from the ministry”.

Turned out to be a good call as he was off looking at the hoards of Boer War memorabilia and stuff.

We headed for dinner to find the restaurant positively boiling. They had closed all the doors in anticipation of the threatening storm. Plan two was a great solution, supper in the pub, a la carte instead of buffet and in an open sided verandah where we watched the storm in nice cool air.
