Pack Horse Way

Another of the local 'lost' routes, this is the old Pack Horse Way, now known as Cockfield Lane . It leads north to Oxbottom, Red Ghyll and the crossing of the river Ouse at Sheffield Bridge. At one time this was the main route from Lewes to East Grinstead and on towards London.
