Rose.

I had long ago given up on expecting any more flower blips for a while.  Visiting Kanyl this afternoon as I walked up his drive I spotted three roses and a bud struggling to open.

This was the one which had suffered least from the weather.  Considering we have had three nights of frost and the days haven't been warm enough to melt the ice I have taken out of the bird "bath" they have done well.
