Last ashes of the fire

Another day of rain.  The forecast is a bit better for tomorrow - which is good as we are driving down to Ipswich to drop off my flute for servicing.

We're getting through a lot of wood at the moment - but in theory that means we are spending less on gas, as we are not running the heating in the lounge.  W is reading our meters every month now, and keeping a spreadsheet of our fuel consumption, so I hope that on average he will be able to demonstrate an improvement compared to last year.
