Squished

Worked all day outside in torrential rain. It was miserable other than the dogs were all well behaved. Feel so sorry for the horses. The field is so flooded and boggy. I gave them some more grass and dry rugs this arvo. Jack spent the day in the stable again just to get out of the mud.

I only just made it home in time for a quick change into dry clothes before collecting t&e to go straight on to their swimming lessons. They had good days at school dressed as super heros for Diabetes awareness day. In assembly everyone had to show of their costumes. Mrs Parry questioned whether yoda was actually a superhero. Apparently Toby replied '"save the galaxy, I did. Hmmm?!" and made the whole school laugh.

After swimming we had a horrible journey to West Bridgeford to collect Mike who was dropping our electric van off at the specialist garage to look at the fault from last week and to service it. The traffic was awful and it took us nearly an hour to get there, most of that was queuing to get on the m1. Then we had to drive back to Kerry's where Mike had left his car. We were really late home and the kids were tired and grumpy unsurprisingly. Once I'd got them through the shower whilst Mike walked the dogs I then had to bake some cakes for the school sale tomorrow for children in need. Needless to say I couldn't be arsed to cook so me and Mike had fish fingers and chips. (The kids had already had a picnic in the car). House looked like a bomb site so just finished tidying and sat down to type this at nearly midnight. Exhaustamondo!
