Meridian Line

I needed to drive my dad into St Andrews today. Whilst he went off to do some business I chanced upon this plaque on the wall of one of the university buildings. Having lived in St Andrews for many years I was unaware of it. 
In the extra is the line on the pavement. We then walked along to the cathedral where the North wind was blowing. It was a very brisk cold walk.
