Sun, Sea & a Tree

Swam in the see.  It's hard work if one is not used to swimming in the sea. It also didn't help that we faffed around and only left the flat at lunchtime'ish. Seas are always calmer in the mornings.

Then we climbed a mountain to book a table at La Vaca Negra for the best steak ever. They were closed so we had to descent the mountain with empty hands (or an empty diary). No matter where you go in Madeira, the route, either there or back, will be a massive uphill. From the balcony to the bathroom is about the only level ground.

We stopped at Pingo Doce for something for tonight's supper. Chicken hearts was decided on.

C then went for a swim and I went for a walk to take photos and to get wine. (Why is the wine always finished?) I did get a bit lost on the way out of  the shopping center. Another Maderia thing is that you enter at ground level, go 3 floors up or 3  floors down and exit still at ground level.

On the way back I stopped asked Rita, from Senekal, to phone the restaurant to book for us. Sorted.
