Day 12: Surprise

Surprise! I've ruined the dolly my sister made! Good job L was hiding under the kitchen table I reckon.

Had my little brother & his wife over today. Took the kids to the cinema for their kids club to see frankenweenie. L saw the advert for this a few months ago while we were at the cinema watching something else and she was so upset at the prospect of a dog dying she cried to ages into the film. Since then she's been adamant she didn't like the cinema and would not be going again. I thought it only right that she saw the happy ending of the film in the hope it would be like some sort of therapy and cure her.

I'm pleased to report it mostly worked. Unfortunately the plot involves the dog dying or getting lost so we had some close calls. I wasnt prepared to answers honestly when L kept asking where sparky was as I knew if I fessed up that he was dead he'd soon be back to life again which would be even more confusing. I just played along and said we'd have to watch and find out.


After the film we all came back here for scrambled eggs and veggies/soup/sarnies before doing some crafts, playing my little ponies and drinking tea. M made the fashion dollies (see blip) and E made her own draught board even though she can't play draughts.
Later Will and Erin taught E & M to play monopoly while L & I played Peppa Pig listening to Bob Marley.

It's the 4th anniversary of the death of J's mum today. Can't believe that's 4 years already and so much has happened since she's been gone. Today's film was a bit dark in light of this anniversary.

Just about to watch The Dark Knight Rises.
