Mr & Mrs
I had a very lazy morning, and although I feel like I'm managing to shake of the virus or whatever it was, I still felt quite achy. So although I planned to go to the gym, I gave it a miss and stayed in bed until about 10.30am! Alan was working from home, so I didn't have to worry about getting up for the boys - they love it when he works from home as they both settle down on his knee and sit there while he works lol!
At lunch time we went to White Cliffs Cafe for a hot chocolate and a coffee, and when we headed back to the car, I was about to put my camera away, when a guy told us that there was a couple having wedding photos taken on the beach, so suggested I might want to keep my camera out. Unfortunately I had to get Alan back to 'work', so couldn't go and investigate, but once I dropped him at home, I went back down to the beach. Sure enough there they were - it was only 7 degrees so she much have been absolutely freezing! I didn't want to get too close, so all my photos were taken on full zoom and they're not particularly sharp, but it's not every day you see wedding photos being taken on our beach - particularly in November!
I then went to Matalan, Argos and Asda and unfortunately got caught up in some very bad traffic on the way home. There'd been a few accidents and various roads were closed, including the coast road and the traffic was getting rather congested, so it took me an hour to get home. I was lucky though, it took one of our friends 2.5 hours to get home from work!
Anyway, my rant for the day is about Dr Grimm who I saw yesterday and who I could tell wasn't listening to me - I fell two weeks ago and landed on my right elbow and for the last week I've been suffering a lot of pain and have been concerned that maybe I've chipped the bone or it's splintered. As it's the same arm as my shoulder that's being operated on next week, I wanted to have an x-ray to check it out, but Dr Grimm was sure it wasn't broken. He prescribed me a gel to rub on it, as well as giving me a prescription for my inhaler. However, when I picked up the prescription, the warnings were not to use the gel if you're asthmatic, or if you have any allergies to Ibuprofen, Aspirin and all other NSAIDs. Not only do I have asthma (albeit mild), I'm allergic to NSAIDs, so find it incredible that this Dr gave me the prescription he did - thank goodness I read the warnings! Needless to say I've emailed the Practice Manager.
Anyway, it's the weekend, hope you have a good one!
