Wooden impulse buy

I made the mistake of going into an antiques emporium today. I was actually looking for an inkwell. Well they only had one - it was nice, silver, complete with liner - but it would only hold about  teaspoonful - no good at all - I want to be able to fill my fountain pen from it. Then I spotted this lovely writing slope....
I've ordered a modern glass and pewter inkwell from Amazon!
(I don't think I'll leave the wooden pen and pencil there all the time - they could be within Sprite reach - and he loves wood too!)
