The path to the temple

The first week of our holidays we have seen many known and less known temples, but this one was a real surprise. Near our route to Chettinad, but almost hidden, our driver wanted to show us a little tempel (see extras) used by the local people. The path to the temple was approx. 300 meters long and on both sides stood hundreds of terracotta figures, mainly horses and some bulls, elephants and other animals. Supposedly they were up to 500 years old and unfortunately many of them broken.
