Bright and beautiful . . .
. . . but very chilly!
A lovely view from up here, on top of the hill, but my nose and face were frozen. I'll have to start knitting Balaclavas!
The stubble fields are full of pheasants and, as I waited for the cat I'm supposed to be looking after to appear, I watched a short eared owl and a hen harrier both hunting, and skeins of geese flying over. It's an exposed spot but lots to see. The mound in the distance houses the broch wherein Thorfinn the Skullsplitter is buried. Read more about him here!
