A little on the large size

JJ was on football duty so I drove down to the river to take a few pictures. The river wasn’t as high as it had been a couple of days ago, when the arches of the bridge were barely showing.

This huge tree, which hugs the riverbank has recently been felled for whatever reason. Over the years several trees have uprooted themselves and had to be dealt with, but the parish council has planted new trees away from the edge and they are growing well.

I’ve propped my tripod against the trunk to give you some sense of scale.
