Autumn leaves
We spent most of the day at Belsay Hall and Castle. This was taken in the ever pleasing quarry garden where they entertain the children by allowing them to sweep up the Autumn leaves.
On the way back to base we called in at Chesters Roman fort where the cavalry were based. There was plenty of water flowing in their bath house, but only the very cold type!
That brings to an end my three score and fifteen birthday bash. Back up north tomorrow.
