New Romance

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

The Youngest Mini Princess is quite splendid at compartmentalising - if she is having a conversation with someone, she loses all awareness of anyone in the room who is not relevant to the conversation.

Tonight’s example:

YMP (to EMP): I told Isobel that you have a new boyfriend.

Me and The Prince (a whole 4 m away):: OOOOH EMP, DO YOU HAVE A NEW BOYFRIEND???

At this point, YMP looked more startled than any rabbit in headlights has ever been.

Despite the apparent secrecy, this is NO surprise to The Prince and me. Steve and EMP have been thick as thieves for the last month. The final giveaway was that he spent last Saturday afternoon here even though Hibs were playing!
