What A Magnificent Pair!

Carolyn had planned a trip to London today to see some relatives and I tagged along to keep her company on the drive.
It was a miserable morning when we set off but as we drove into Richmond Park, the sun was out and the park looked magnificent.
Having not visited before, we didn't know where to park the car, so went on a bit of a tour, passing huge red deer stags, grazing in open spaces, seemingly oblivious of the hundreds of cars doing what we were doing and hundreds of dogs being exercised off leads.
Eventually we found an allocated car park and then set off on a stag hunt.
This male was hiding in the bracken but allowed me to get quite close.
I took many more images but this beast had the most magnificent pair of antlers so he won top blip billing today
