THE RUTILE BOWL

Rutile is a titanium oxide (TiO²) - it comes with a lot of iron oxide (FeO²) & when fired to 1280°C in a reducing atmosphere it gives these lovely blues.

As you can see, it gets pretty runny.

I'm putting in the extra - the evil eye of Valtteri Bottas as he waits to leave the pits in the Brazilian Grand prix in São Paulo - just to see if the Blip police in its almighty wisdom will take this submission down & pronounce: "The page you're looking for doesn't exist".
