Leaving Mumbai

We overnighted here and there were early tours today before another wonderful sea day as we head to Cochin. 

I stayed aboard and had a leisurely breakfast. I soon realised that there were an assortment of birds, including birds of prey and they were passing close to where I was sitting. I suppose the canopy acted as a kind of bird hide.

I was fascinated. The bird I’ve blipped was trying to nest (hopefully not on the ship) and kept being harassed by a few others including what I think was a kestrel.

If I were at home I’d be more confident of the varieties. I Googled and suspect that this is a honey buzzard and that I’ve also seen black kites. I recognised the crows.  

This is an amazing trip.
