The Dutchbarn
At the top of Machine Lane, Kentisbeare, this old barn stands alone in the a field.
As you can see, the rain was coming down with quite some ferocity, still we'd come this far on our mad morning run, so Jen & I felt obliged to continue, & of course we had little choice in the matter.
A film fest best describes the rest of our day. We went to see The Hobbit at Taunton cinema. A very good film with some great scenic shots, visual effects & cast. We love Martin Freeman (can't beat Tim from the Office! - the fanastic Ricky Gervais comedy show that is).
After a lovely afternoon with the girls, Lauren & Susannah, (& some Nerf gun action too) & a de-lish home cooked dinner by Clare we settled in for a Top Gun - Con Air double bill! Both I hadn't seen before, to the shock of Clare & Jen, but tonight my 'film education' was well underway. Now, despite Nicolas Cage quite probably being the worst actor on the planet, he does put in a good performance in Con Air, which I have to admit is a great film! Top Gun & Tom Cruise is less so, but it was alright & now I've seen it, so that should keep Jen happy for a while.
'I feel the need for speed', sorry the need to quote something fitting, so all I will say is, 'put the bunny back in the box'. There, that seems appropriate.
Top night.
