Scallop Shell

Unveiled in 2003 and standing 15 feet high on Aldeburgh Beach.  This sculpture is a tribute to Benjamin Britten – one of the twentieth-century’s most important composers, who spent much of his life in Aldeburgh. The words around the edge are  "I Hear Those Voices That Will Not Be Drowned"
