A bit wet

After a leisurely morning, we were taken on a scenic trip around the St Ives area, bits of which we recognised from a visit many years ago. We avoided St Ives itself and ended up at the beautiful Godrevy Beach. Unfortunately it started to rain, but we left the car anyway. I wandered the cliff tops with views of the lighthouse (of Virginia Woolf fame), two plus dog went down onto the beach and Gordon went on towards the headland in search of seals.

The reason why the photo looks a little misty and wet is because it was misty and wet. You can just see our two way down below and you might spot Coopers hurtling towards the sea. Sadly she never got to swim as seals were spotted close to the shore and, responsibly, they brought her back. It was great to watch about four seals playing about in the waves. However, when Gordon returned he reported that he had seen about 80 seals actually on the beach (and he has photos to prove it!)

After a lovely Sunday lunch in St Agnes, they took us to the Airport at Newquay and we set off on the journey home. No hitches this time and, after a 40 minute plane journey and a train journey from Manchester to Penrith, we were home before nine.

What a lovely time we have had and it was so good to see the cottage our daughter and her husband  have invested in. We will be back, but may see some great changes when we do, as they have some creative and exciting plans.
