Shaping Up For Winter

Although I was initially attracted to the light coming through the trees and falling on the reeds, bringing out their colour, it was the curving shape of the bank that I liked in this shot.

I'm beginning to realise I often look for the hidden spots, where there is a possibility of something more, around the corner in this case, or through or behind. Maybe it adds an air of mystery and potential, saying something more than just a photo of a scene.
