I wonder where this goes

My morning walk with the spaniel is usually about two hours but today we came across a stream that was too wide and too deep to cross (at least for me). We worked our way uphill and eventually found a suitable crossing point but were then surrounded by an impenetrable bog and had to make a further detour. We were now way off out intended route and, at least a little bit, lost. We finally made our way back to the start after four hours. Mrs L has decided that I can no longer decline a mobile phone. One is now on order.
