Grasmere

We went over to Langdale to meet our friends for a walk up Pike of Blisco which is our 159th Wainwright.

It was a bit of a mission as the road up to Blea Tarn was very icy so we set off from Old Dungeon Ghyll.  The walk up via Blea Tarn and Wrynose wasn't too bad but on the way back down it was really icy and  we lost the path and found ourself on a steep ledge.   It was getting late but we eventually got back onto the path with the help of GPS and arrived back at the car as the light faded.

On the way over the light was amazing with beautiful reflections on Rydal Water and Grasmere.
