Still standing

Official 'Switch on' isn't until 1st December, but the Wooler Christmas lights are on tonight, all along the High Street. The tree at the end of the street is still vertical, so I thought it prudent to take a photo now! In past years, by the time I've thought to do so the winter winds have blown the tree to a jaunty angle! Very still tonight, and bitterly cold.

Nice and cheerful for the dark nights ahead, but I'm not fond of the blue lights - better for emergency services' vehicles than Christmas decorations imho!
