Comet Rain

Oh boy! It's been building up and building up, but finally this afternoon it rained in the Hawkesbury.

I know those blippers from the UK, the North Island of NZ and wetter parts of the US probably are saying "big deal", but to us it is.

We have no town water here -what we drink falls from the sky (or has to be brought in by tanker), so after a particularly hot summer this afternoon is beautiful beyond belief.

Also, thanks so much to the blippers who have dropped by to look at my piccies. Cracked the 1000 views this morning (another big whoop I know for the long term blippers, but I'm going to celebrate my little milestones :D )

The parrots are dancing jigs out on the back lawn; the plants are singing with joy.
