Flame Tree
The sun rose at 5am today and so did I, as I wanted to get a blip or two in the bag while it was still cool. There were quite a few people out and about, walking dogs, running and enjoying the air before it got too hot.
Out of a hatful of good images I chose this beautiful flowering tree as its blooms will soon be over. The Illawara Flame Tree is a mass of bright red tiny flowers, most of its leaves only appearing after the flowers have fallen.
By 10am the temperature was 30C (top today here was 34C) and it was time to escape the sun's rays - you know the old saying about only mad dogs and Englishmen going out in the midday sun!
The weather bureau here (known rather disturbingly as BOM) promises a break in the heat tomorrow and maybe some rain. I will be out there dancing in it!
