Before our break today I told my boss that I would like to do something else than wreaths (I've done 7 now so...). She suggested 'heart decorations', and as we had company by a coworker who was about to make advent arrangement with Christmas flowers and moss and other things I suggested star decorations instead of hearts. My boss said of course! And my coworker was pleased. So... after the break I hunted down the materials and started to make a star from softer, but thicker, metal wire (as shown in the shot...). Easy, I thought. What could be easier than a star? Easy... mmm... no... not easy at all! But, on my third try at least I got a shape that was agreeable that I was pleased with. The second one, my coworker thought was really nice, and it was used in the advent plant arrangement. At least now I know how to best begin! With the top 'peak', and then work my way down both sides with pliers. When I've got the shape, I start making the shape better, until I'm pleased. Then I add the softer, thinner metal wire with beads, and then finally the silver foil 'ribbon'.
I haven't slept very much this week, so I'm going to go through your journals as soon as I have more energy. The energy now is spent during my work hours. Not sure why I'm not sleeping, or sleeping really lightly and dreaming, and half waking up and spinning around in bed. Oh, well... this too will pas...
