Mother-in-law's tongue ................

.............. has suddenly decided to produce a flower stem.  Apparently it does this when "mildly stressed" - it certainly could be pot bound at the moment, but despite this it is constantly producing more shoots, thus rendering itself increasingly pot bound!

The web site linked above suggest that it may be decades before it produces flowers again - so "enjoy them whilst you have them".
