Being Human - An Exhibition

What’s that all about?

We were passing Bristol Museum and Art Gallery and thought we’ll just pop in for a few minutes to see what’s it all about.

It is a small exhibition of body sculptures from an international selection of sculptors depicting the human body in various forms and materials .... and it was unexpectedly fabulous.

But which one to show? The ancient or the modern? What material? Whole body? Part body. Abstract or realism?

This is an Elisabeth Frinks bronze ‘The Prisoner ‘representing the nightmarish image of a pilot shot down in flames in the Second World War managing to show a traumatised image and sad eyes where there are no eyes.

We stayed more than a few minutes!
