Harvesting Dahlia Tubers

We dig up our dahlia plants in the fall, wash the dirt off of the big mass of tubers,  then tuck them in to soft peat moss in paper bags and store them in the cool darkness of our garage for the winter. In the spring we separate the tubers before planting, selecting the best ones for planting in our yard.
